On April 8, 2010 Brian's and my world was turned upside downtown with only one trip to the bathroom! Now, typically my trips to the bathroom do not result in good news worth spreading, however on this date I emerged with a fantastic suprise. Since it was the day before our anniversary I "sneakily" avoided Brian in the living room, grabbed some wrapping supplies and put the positive pregnancy test inside. I presented the bag in front of Brian knowing that as soon as I told him I had an anniversary gift for him he would beg me to let him open it early. As planned, Brian asked and I readily relented. Brian unwrapped the pregnancy test, looked at it, squinted at it, looked at me, looked at it again and then said "are you serious?" Tears overwhelmed me and I hugged Brian and began chattering away. It took me a several moments to realize that his face or body had not moved or changed an inch since he had opened the present.
Once Brian regained movement in his body and could begin articulating sentences again, we started talking about how we couldn't believe this had finally happened and when we would tell our family and friends our news, which you will have to hear more about in our next post!
